About the AOF
The French Association of Optometrists (AOF) is the organizer of the COC, which is the largest scientific event for opticians in France.
This congress has become an unmissable event over the years, driven by a team of passionate volunteers.
The AOF works to establish training programs, advocates with government ministries on behalf of its professional association, offers the only professional liability insurance covering optometric activities, and is the primary contact for legal matters related to the practice of optician-optometrist. It is a member of the World Council of Optometry (WCO).
The AOF's mission is to support and represent all optometrists in France, in order to build the future of the optometry profession and this has been the case for over 40 years.
Its board of directors consists of 20 elected members.
